maria-luisa-parkAmong the most beautiful parks all over Spain we can find the María Luisa Park, located in the southern region of Seville, considered as the biggest “green lung” of this city.

It is worth mentioning that the origins of this park date back to the end of the 19th century; it is a building work belonging to the French engineer Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier, who also worked in some other projects concerning European parks.

You would be surprised to know that nowadays in this park we can find a considerable variety of vegetable life, and visitors may be free to rest on the grass or anywhere they prefer, because there are few restrictions to do so.

In this park, you can also find a wide variety of birds, such as swans, peacocks, ducks, etc. You can feed them if you like. The Parque de María Luisa also has streets and squares having a wonderful architecture, giving the visitor an opportunity to stay a little bit in such a beautiful place. It is worth mentioning that this park is considered as a monument of the city, it was donated by the Infanta María Luisa, and that’s why it carries her name.

As travel activity, we would like to tell you that during October, mainly in the first two weeks there is the famous Caída de la Hoja (literally meaning Fall of the Leaf), a quite somatic celebration giving the Fall season a very warm welcome. Now you know when would be the best moment to visit this Sevillian Park. Besides, you would like to know how frequently some concerts take place therein. What else can be asked?
