ski-in-spainIn spite of being one of the warmest countries of Europe, Spain has many places where people can go skiing. The Northern, central or southern regions offer very attractive choices for activities in the snow.

Most of the cities have a close ski resort, and the fact is that Spain has about thirty ski resorts that take all sorts, from the easiest ones for beginners to the most complicated for the most expert ones.

One of the most well-known ski resorts is the Baqueira Beret one, not only due to the fact in which, since many years ago, the royal family usually spend their Christmas time over there, but also for being provided with very attractive and complicated tracks for the ski’s great lovers. In addition to Baqueira, there are other very interesting resorts where people can practice this sport and they are also located in the Pyrenees.

If you are in Andalusia you can go to Sierra Nevada, there we can find slopes for every taste, the ones who barely start have several slopes for learning how to ski. In north Huesca and Cantabria there are also some important slopes: Candanchú, Astún are some of the most well-known and crowded as well.

Finally, not very far from the capital, in Navacerrada and Valdesquí there are two resorts that are very crowded during the whole year and kick off earlier than the others since they count on enough artificial snow.
