Madrid is the administrative, financial and of principal transportation center from Spain. The transport in Madrid is very easy thanks to its wide and effective transport system. During the last ten years the means of transport have improved to a great extent in Madrid, and it has caused a better transport in Madrid for tourists and visitors.

The subway system:
The subway is a quick, safe, clean and cheap transport mean in Madrid. Not only it gets connected with the suburbs of the city, but it runs inside the city. The subway works during the whole day with frequent services from one station to the other. There is self-service of vending machines for tickets at the subway stations which are user-friendly. It is a comfortable way of traveling from and towards the airport. Madrid has also high-speed and long-distance trains which head to everywhere in Spain. These trains are the most comfortable means of transport and they are ideal to see in a better way the Spanish landscape while the journey lasts. All railroads from Madrid are monitored by the RENFE National Railroads Company. The main train stations from Madrid are the Atocha and Chamartín ones.

Great article, thanks for the information! I would recommend taking the bus for quick shorter trips and the metro for longer trips. The bus is usually a quick way to get around if you are visiting, and as the article says, they are actually very clean and air-conditioned!
