Some weekend ago I was lucky enough to come around a dressed-in-Christmas Madrid. And one of the destinations I wanted to visit the most was the San Miguel Market, a place I had known some years ago.

During the last ten years the means of transport have improved to a great extent in Madrid, and it has caused a better transport in Madrid for tourists and visitors.

Fuerteventura is the second largest island of the Canaries, having 100 kilometers long and 25 kilometer wide, which was declared Biosphere Reserve by the UNESCO in May, 2009. We are dealing with the most pristine and deserted island of the archipelago, as well as the most arid and driest one, but having, after all, a coastline where the most beautiful beaches and waves all over Europe can be found.
The carnival in Spain was originally a pagan rite, which joined later to the festivals of the Catholic Church to say good-bye to the excesses and to prepare itself for the penitence during Lent time. These festivals have a special meaning in Spain, since they were prohibited in the whole country during 40 years, with the Franco’s dictatorship, although in certain places some clandestine festivities took place.
Nowadays, when we think more than anything else about the festivities concerning the New Year’s Eve, some of us make the most of the opportunity to take some free days in order to enjoy with our families. A lot of times we have recommended wonderful places to be around the world, but we should also say that some of the best destinations can be found here in Spain.
In spite of being one of the warmest countries of Europe, Spain has many places where people can go skiing. The Northern, central or southern regions offer very attractive choices for activities in the snow.
Spain is an important tourist attraction in Europe and therefore, many tourists from all over the world frequently visit the different Spanish cities. Malaga is one of those cities, which attract the tourists due to its natural beauty and traditions. The city is a perfect mix of modernization, tradition and culture.
