The Palma Cathedral or Seu, built during the 13th and 14 centuries, has the peculiarity of being the only one having a Gothic style in front of the sea. King Jaime I ordered to erect a temple in the Arab fortress and it was built on the site of an existing Arab mosque. Though the interior reveals the graves of kings Jaime II and Jaime III, there are other masterpieces which attract the visitor’s attention. One of them is the baldaquino (canopy bed) covering its main altar, made by Gaudí. The other, a more recent one, is the chapel made by Barceló in 2007.

2. Mosque-Cathedral (Córdoba)
This piece of jewelry belonging to the Spanish-Muslim art is not only one of the most visited monuments all over the country but also one of the most important buildings of the Islamic art. It was built during the 8th and 10th century, its beauty and magnificence prevented Christians from destroying it when King Fernando III conquered the city. It was adapted then to the Christian liturgy though a catheral was built within. As centuries went by, this architectural fusion has become in the accurate reflection of the Al-Andalus history and culture.

3. The San Juan de Gaztelugatxe Chapel (Bermeo, Vizcaya)
This small chapel, belonging to the 10th century, is characterized by a natural environment around it, a landscape as green as wild on top of an islet belonging to the Biscayan coast. Local visitors go to this temple, which is supposed to have a templar origin, in order to ring, during three times, the bell and make a wish as tradition says. For getting there, we need to cross a bridge that was built between the rocks and then to go up for a more than 200 steps stairscase. Its strategical location, allowed the place to be the protagonist of important historical events. In the 16th century, this chapel was plundered by the famous British pirate Francis Drake and during the Civil War it witnessed the Cabo Matxitxako Battle.
